Taiji Classes at the Morning Crane Healing Arts Center |
| Whether the student wishes to learn Tai Ji for health, improved balance, concentration or as a martial art, all the Tai Chi classes are designed to benefit the beginner to the advanced to student. With sincere practice all of the above and more can be attained.
I wish to acknowledge and thank my teacher (Sifu) Tony Wong, for patiently and unconditionally teaching me all he knows. I am very grateful to my Sifu for instilling in me his teaching, philosophy, openness, patients, and willingness to share his art of Traditional Chen Family Taiji with me. Giving me the opportunity to develop myself as I strive to help develop the lives of all students interested in learning Chen Tai Ji. My goal is to be able to pass along this ancient healing art with the same passion and charisma, and to keep the integrity of the ancient tradition intact as he has done throughout the years. Providing students with the best possible resources and materials to aid in their development.

Beginning Chen 24/48 Taijiquan |
The
Xin Jia form is derived from the Chen Taijiquan first Form (the
83-posture Yi Lu) developed by Feng Zhiqiang, the 18th generation
master of Chen-style Taijiquan. This particular form contains soft
flowing movements,
combined with spiraling, coiling, and explosive power making it
a dynamic and beautiful form to perform and watch.
Students in Sifu Christopher Sheltons classes may also participate in optional Chen Broadsword training at the end of most class sessions.

Beginning to Intermediate Chen Taijiquan
(Lao Jia) |
In this class, the student will learn the first and oldest form of Traditional Chen Taijiquan, called the (Yi Lu) Lao Jia, This form is used as a tool to help develop a practitioner's strength, balance, coordination, and understanding of basic Taiji principles. The strength of the form is based on the basic "Chan Si Jing" (spiral energy/force). Because of these characteristics, the first form is essential for beginners to learn. It is also beneficial for those who want to practice Taijiquan for health reasons
