What is Yoga?

Yoga is an art and science dedicated to creating union between body, MorningCrane Yoga Teacher: Marie Jomind and spirit, which develop an awareness of ourselves as individualized beings intimately connected to the unified whole of creation and dedicated to enhancing a concentration power to experience All in Present.

Some of the most important Health benefits from Yoga:

  • Balances body flexibility and body strength to prevent conditions like arthritis, shoulder chronic pain, back pain etc.
  • Improves balance, improves body alignment, corrects posture to protect you from injuries.
  • Improves memory, concentration, reflexes and coordination skills focusing on the present.
  • Reduces stress by increasing the calming and restorative action of the parasympathetic
  • system in the body and by making us more aware where we are holding tensions in order to release them simply by tuning in.
  • Decreases blood pressure, improves breathing pattern and respiratory deficiency, improves sleep pattern.

About the Class

This ongoing Yoga class is designed to be informative with a comprehensive training in Yoga principles and practice. A noncompetitive experiential environment makes this class safe.

Enjoy the Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga combination in this 1 1/2 hour class.

Each class begins with pranayama breathing techniques, a warm-up, a guided asana practice (poses) combined with the flowing breath (prana) in harmony with the body, mind and spirit, learning to gradually work deeper encompassing concentration and poise. Each class ends with a refreshing meditative relaxation to bring you more in touch with your inner nature.

Please bring a large towel, a yoga mat if you own one, a long strap and wear loose clothing.

About the Instructor

Marie Jo shows profound interests in complementary Health and Wellness including yoga and nutrition advice. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to everyone who would like to gain Health Wisdom with specific orientations.

Over 25 years of Yoga practice and instruction, 18 years of Physical Therapy experience in multiple settings and 15 years of experience in medical laboratory analysis complement her Nutritional certification and nutrition consulting experience in the last 4 years.

She has given workshops and presentations to hospitals about Respiratory System and Breathing and other applications of Yoga for people with specific health issues like Scoliosis and MS.

Her knowledge in Science, in Chemistry and her para-medical background has giving her a good understanding of the body function and its nutritional needs, completed by the wonderwork of Yoga through our powerful Energy system.

Marie Jo Grazioli credentials include:

  • Graduation from Toulouse University (France) majoring in biophysical sciences and in physical therapy.
  • California licensed Physical Therapy from the Physical Therapy Board.
    Long time experienced Yoga practitioner and instructor and has been attending a variety of Yoga seminars.
  • Certified Nutritional Consultant from the Global Institute for Alternative Medicine.
